VARIOUS APPLICATIONS
The drag finishing systems developed by Trowal represents a special technology for surface finishing of high value, delicate components, parts with many contours and complex geometry and extremely hard materials which are difficult to machine.

The applications for the Trowal drag finishing technology range from aggressive grinding to surface smoothing and high gloss polishing of decorative parts.

Examples: surgical implants, turbine blades, precision parts, i.e. pumps and compressors, parts made from hard metal, sintered parts, etc.

APPLICATION
The Drag Finishing Technique developed by Walther Trowal is a special process for mass finishing of:

The field of application for the drag finishing technique covers a wide range from heavy metal removal and edge breaking to fine finishing and surface improvement as well as high lustre polishing of visible surfaces.

FUNCTIONAL PROPERTIES
The tools are fixtured on special holders and dragged through a still standing abrasive media mass. The individual tool holders may also rotate separately.

  • up to 40 times faster metal removal verses vibratory finishing
  • components do not touch nor damage during process
