Surface finishing of aluminum

Surface finishing of the machined aluminum

Eleven months ago we posted this video, and here we are again. Due to the Covid19, B 737 situation and general downturn in aerospace industry, airframers did not invest much in the surface finishing of the structural aluminum and aluminum assemblies. Covid 19 is still here, but prospect of the B 737 flying again, and simple need for air traveling will positively impact 2020 aerospace industry. Vibratory finishing of the structural parts does make sense, not only because of the shear finish per print, but it is 100% control driven process.

Vibratory finishing of the very long fan blades

It takes a time, patience, knowledge and resources in developing of the new processes and machines for vibratory surface finishing. Showcased process is prime example of it.
Video is blurred on footage showing fan blades due to NDA signed. For more info on vibratory finishing of the fan blades, compressor blades, vanes etc… please send an email to info@massfinaerospace.com .

Composite bonding – surface preparation

All the people that work with composites, do know and understand challenge of composite surface preparation prior bonding. Aluminum, Titanium, Steel and other materials bonds well with active composite surface for aerospace, automotive and consumer industries. Different bonding agents are used, different pressures etc – only constant is high quality surface preparation, which is a key to successful bonding. Wet blasting is absolute #1 choice for Composite surface prep. With laminar flow, no media embedment possible, no dust present (clean air environment), short cycle time preparation with everything done in a cabinet (blasting and cleaning) is ultimate answer for companies that do work with composites. New website Launch Announcement

After many months of hard work and dedication from our team at Massfin Inc. and Axxess Design, we are pleased to announce the launch of our updated website!

Our primary goal during the redesign process was to create a more valuable, user-centric and responsive resource across all platforms and devices. Specifically, we wanted to focus on making it easier for our users to learn and locate valuable information about our technical solutions for their particular application or industry not only at their desk but on mobile devices.

Keep up to date on our latest workshops, trade shows and company announcements in our news section.

We hope you enjoy our new look!
